The first racemeeting was held in Naas on 19th June 1924. Naas is a Flat and National Hunt track which races from October to July. Naas is the scene of many a top class horse’s debut in National Hunt racing. There is no reserved enclosure and the close proximity of the parade ring, to the betting and bookmakers rail to all other facilities gives Naas a unique atmosphere. Among its best known races are the Birdcatcher Nursery and the Slaney and Johnstown Hurdles.
