Start your summer in style this year with a visit to Dublin’s Docklands Maritime Festival promising a great family day out in Dublin’s fair city. Dublin’s Docklands is a thriving area and is Dublin’s fastest developing area with much to see and do here. Come and soak up the wonderful atmosphere the Maritime Festival has to offer. Enjoy the maritime-related street entertainment, colourful stalls, music, song and dance and of course avail of the wonderful shopping district along the quays.

A visit to the main attraction of course must not go amiss! During the festival you can visit the historic and amazing tall ships that will moor along Dublin’s glistening docks. A selection of tall ships from various corners of the world including our very own Jeanie Johnston which is a replica of one of the most famous ships to sail the Atlantic during the Irish famine, will lower their drawbridge and welcome the public aboard. Climb aboard and explore the wonders and amazing craftsmanship of these beautiful vessels, learn of their journeys, passengers and much more of times past.

Treat yourself to some of the many products and produce on offer at Dublin’s largest outdoor market. Browse the many food stalls and treat those taste buds with the many tempting choices available. Choose from a huge selection of breads, pastries, cheeses, chocolates, crepes and much more from Ireland and beyond. From jewellery to pot plants you name it, the outdoor market has it all.
