About the concert…

The Smashing Pumpkins are one of the biggest alternative rock bands in the world. Moving away from punk rock, this band merges an awful lot of different styles and influences such as heavy metal, Goth rock and electronica. The band has been on the top of their genre since the release of their second album, Siamese Dream, in 1993.

Since then they have released a number of highly successful albums including Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness (95), Adore (98), Machina I & II (00). Later after a brief break up the reformed band released Zeitgeist in 07 to much fanfare and did well in the charts for a while. One of the tracks in the album was used in the Transformers Movie soundtrack. Most recently they have digitally released an EP called American Gothic, which will see sale in shops in February.
