Dublin Airport Inbound Passengers
The majority of visitors to Ireland enter the country via Dublin Airport, so the arrivals lounge can resemble a United Nations assembly at times, with people from all over the world streaming through. Of course, the global economic slump has seen a drop in passenger numbers at Dublin Airport, but things are starting to look up.
The Dublin Airport Authority (DAA) reports that passenger traffic at Dublin Airport rose by 2% in 2011, to 18.8 million passengers, with the biggest growth among passengers coming from outside Ireland.
This recovery can only get stronger, with a DAA growth incentive scheme that rebates passenger service charges to airlines that reach specific traffic growth rates.
So where do all these international travellers hail from?
