Moycullen
- Moycullen lies 13 km northwest of Galway city on the N59 to Clifden and, like Barna and Claregalway, it is becoming a dormer area for the expanding city.
- Nearby is Drimcong House Restaurant famous for its cuisine and a little further on at Ross Lake is Ross House, birthplace of Violet Martin. She wrote under the pen name of Martin Ross and with Edith Somerville penned the celebrated "Reminiscences of an Irish R.M".
- Although a gateway to the various trout angling centres on the western shore of Lough Corrib, Moycullen is also an ideal coarse angling centre with Ballyquirke and Ross Lakes just a cast away.
