The pick up point is across the road from Kilkenny Castle, and tours run every hour on the hour from 10am - 6pm, 7 days a week. The train is open to the public from March through to October. Group bookings can be made at any time of year.
Starting across from Kilkenny Castle, the first port of call is the City Hall, then on to the Court House and Rothe House. After that it’s on down to St. Francis Abbey Brewery, St. Canices Church, Butt’s Green, Bishop’s Palace, St Canice’s Cathedral and over to the Black Abbey and St. Marys Cathedral. The road train continues on and takes in Desart Hall, Talbots Tower, Butler House and St. Patricks Graveyard. It then travels on the homeward leg back to Kilkenny Castle.
