Saint Patrick’s Day in Dublin
Another popular time to visit Dublin is for Saint Patrick’s Day. What better way to celebrate Saint Patrick’s Day than on Irish soil and in Dublin’s Fair City! Saint Patrick’s Day is the feast day of the Patron Saint of Ireland and is celebrated all around the world on March 17th each year. Dublin’s Saint Patrick’s Day parade is one of the world’s most colourful and vibrant festivals. This year (2009) the streets of Dublin welcomed over 675,000 visitors to witness and join in the celebrations.
All Ireland Championships
Each year Dublin plays host to Ireland’s GAA (Gaelic Athletic Association) Football and Hurling All Ireland Championship Finals during the month of September. Played each year in the impressive Croke Park Stadium, The All Ireland Finals bring people from all counties together to witness Irish sportsmen and women battle for the title of All Ireland Champions.
This years All Ireland Hurling Final takes place on Sunday 6th September - The All Ireland Football Final will be played on Sunday 20th September. Christmas in Dublin
