Banna
- Banna with its excellent beach is well known in song and verse due to its association with Roger Casement.
- It was on the 21 April 2024 when Roger Casement was captured here as he tried to land arms from a German vessel
- The famous song "The Lonely Banna Strand" is attributed to Casement's failed attempt
- Banna can be found about a 10 minute drive north of Tralee town in County Kerry
- Lough Akeragh, alongside Banna, is a haven for flocks of winter birds, especially migrants from America.
- The substantial shandhills at Banna contain a wide variety of wild flowers. Indeed these dunes have been called one of the leading botanical areas in the county.
- Banna and Ballyheigue are ideally suited to the touring visitor as both have top-class caravan and camping sites.
