The Meath Heritage Centre offers a record search service for those whose ancestors came from Co. Meath - Ireland's 'Royal' county.

Over 400,000 records have now been computerised at this Centre and the computerisation work is ongoing.

The pretty town of Kells is world renowned through its connection with the Book of Kells. The famous Battle of the Boyne, in which King William of Orange defeated his father-in-law King James II, was fought in Co. Meath.
