Doolin To Aran Island Ferries

With boats leaving from Doolin Pier, you can book trips to see Inis Mor, Inis Meain and Inis Oirr; in addition to cruises to the Cliffs of Moher.

The Cliffs of Moher stand over 200m above the Atlantic – some of the highest cliffs in Europe. Their scale and beauty can only be truly appreciated when viewed from sea level.
Our cruise will take you on a voyage of discovery along this 8km shoreline, which is inaccessible from land. From the comfort of the Jack B, our new purpose-built passenger vessel, you will humbly admire this incredible natural phenomenon rising up to greet you.

A major seabird colony, the cliffs are home to over 20 species of birds.
You are not as aware of this from the top, but from the boat, you will see and hear thousands of Puffins, Guillemots, Kittiwakes and others filling the sky with a spectacle of noise and colour.

Licensed by the Dept of the Marine, the Jack B has a fully qualified skipper and crew. Captain PJ Garrihy has over 30 years local sailing experience and is very knowledgeable about the cliffs and surrounding area.

Killarney Day Tour

Describing the classic ‘Gap Boat’ trip throught the Killarney Lakes is a problem! Yes, it starts at Gearhameen at the top of the Upper Lake and takes you on a 14km trip through the Killarney valley, a trip unequalled in Ireland for scenic beauty. But how to actually describe it?

The fact that most of the great writer-visitors of the last 200 years have tried doesn’t make the take any easier. You can almost fee them looking over your shoulder and saying, ‘OK, we tried to capture it, now let’s see how you get on!’. No powers of language are adequate to convey an idea of the wildness and variety of the view. Not a single habitation, not a trace of man’s labour, can be discovered in any part of this vast amphitheatre, wrote on voyager through the Upper Lake in 1807. From the Upper Lake the boat descends to the Middle and Lower Lakes along the Long Range river past precipices and deep glens overhung with woods; each glen affords a channel to a mountain stream supplies a cascade. Many of these falls appear with inconceivable beauty sparkling through the trees.

Nothing has changed today. The Old Weir Bridge, the Meeting Of The Waters, Dinis Cottage, the splendour of Lough Leane. Describe it I can’t - experience it you must!

Ancient & Modern, Armagh

Armagh city, ecclesiastical capital of Ireland, is younger than Rome but older than Canterbury. Its fame as a religious centre is matched by the popularity of its Planetarium and Hall of Astronomy, in each of which the awesome universe can be contemplated, directly by powerful telescope and indirectly by spaceship films.

This drive comprises a series of places associated with famous men and women : St Patrick, Queen Macha and warrior Cuchullain, Swift and Stella, the O’Neills, Carleton, Patrick Kavanagh and Francis Johnston the genius of Georgion architecture.

Add apple orchards, the ancient game of road bowls, Monaghan’s award winning museum and fine 18th and 19th century public buildings, ultra-modern monks, model villages and forest parks - and you have a route spiced with variety.
