When:
Celebrating 30 years this year, the Dublin City Marathon is as popular as ever today and continues to grow each year. Normally held on the last Monday of October, which is a Bank Holiday, this year’s event will take place on Bank Holiday Monday 26th October 2009.

Where:
The course is reasonably flat and starts at Fitzwilliam Square in the city centre, takes in the Phoenix Park and finishes at Merrion Square in the city centre. This is a very scenic route that takes in Georgian Dublin and tends to follow a similar route each year.

What time:
Wheelchair entrants will commence at 8.50am and there is one start for all other participants at 9am.

Prizes:
There are great prizes available and the overall winner receives ‘The Noel Carroll Memorial Trophy’ and €15,000 cash prize! Prizes are also given for the first Irish finisher, first master’s finisher and the first team finishers. A prize of €5,000 is also given to any competitor who breaks the Dublin marathon record.

How to register:
