- Poolbeg Lighthouse
Standing tall on Dublin’s Great South Wall at Dublin Port you will find Poolbeg Lighthouse. The Great South Wall, also known as South Bull Wall, is one of the longest sea-walls in Europe. When you walk out to the end of the Great South Wall you can see a wonderful 360 degree view of Dublin that includes Dublin Bay, the Wicklow Mountains to the South, and glistening Howth to the north. Poolbeg Lighthouse is one of a formation of three, you can identify Poolbeg Lighthouse by its colour red. This is a wonderful hidden gem and offers a stunning setting for those who enjoy walking and getting out and about.
Nestled in Dublin City Centre just off O’Connell Street, and close to Dublin’s cultural quarter of Temple Bar, you will find Trinity College. This is truly one of the most amazing colleges in Europe and is a third-level institution in Ireland. Although this is a very significant tourist attraction in Dublin and is home to the famous and historical Book of Kells, the grounds of Trinity College are just as spectacular.
