3. If you’ve a family and are wondering what to do to entertain the kids, have no fear; Ireland has everything you need to entertain the little ones! 5. You’ll be saving by staying at home and holidaying in Ireland this year! The Irish Government passed a law as part of the 2008 October Budget that there will be a new air tax introduced on the 30th March 2009 whereby each outbound passenger will be subject to a travel tax when travelling to another European country. The tax shall be 8 euro per passenger flying to one of the countries that lie close to Ireland - for example, the UK, Iceland, Spain, France and Germany. The travel tax will be 10 euro per passenger that is flying to another European destination and North Africa. So, avoid this extra expense and holiday local this year!
