Find out what destinations in Ireland have made the Trip Advisor Traveller’s Choice Top 100 places to visit in the world.
Trip Advisor have revealed their 2008 Traveller’s Choice Destination Awards and we are very proud to announce that Dingle in County Kerry has been chosen as one of the top destinations not only in Europe - but in the world!
Dingle in County Kerry is now one of the top destinations to visit in Europe. This rugged picturesque peninsula (once described by National Geographic as “the most beautiful place on earth”) comes in at number 6, before major European cities like Paris, Edinburgh and Prague!
On a world wide scale Dingle also gets a high score - coming in in the top 20 destinations to visit in the world! It beats top world destinations like Byron Bay in Australia, Pompeii in Italy and Honolulu in Hawaii to claim a very well deserved position at 18!
Coming in at number 42 in the top 100 destinations in the world is Galway city in the west of Ireland and at number 85 is Killarney in County Kerry. So when you’re on your next visit to Ireland, make sure you stop off at these “world class” destinations and see them for yourself!
