Glen Hansard is most definitely the Irish man of the moment. From busking on Grafton Street at the age of 13 to winning the most prestigious prize of them all at 37 - an Oscar!

Congratulations to Dublin man Glen Hansard and partner Marketa Irglova! The couple scooped the Oscar for best original song for “Falling Slowly” from the little Irish movie “Once”at the recent Oscar Ceremony in LA - not bad for The Commitments boy!

Many will know Glen Hansard as the front man of The Frames. No doubt the couple will be in huge demand as sales of the song are predicted to go through the roof, but he has promised to perform a gig or two at some stage this year in Ireland - after celebrating with a pint or two of course!
