Ireland’s very own ‘Three Tenors’ are performing at the Helix, Dublin for one show only on the 16th February. The trio, who sing some of the most beautiful songs in the world, invite you to join them for an evening of classical entertainment. Read our guide for more on the venue, the concert and accommodation.
About The Three Tenors…
The Three Tenors are not the original Three Tenors, but this group are an outstanding success in their own right. Ireland’s three tenors include John Scott, David Martin and Declan Kelly. John Scott is a regular soloist in the National Concert Hall and is reputedly the most powerful singer in Ireland! David Martin trained in Italy under the world famous Ugo Benelli and he has rightly earned himself the name ‘The Golden Voice’. Declan Kelly has toured all over Europe to much critical acclaim.
They will be singing Sinatra, Pavarotti, Lloyd Webber and their famous Elvis Medley; there will also be a collection of Irish and international classics such as Joy to the World, O Holy Night, When A Child is Born, O Sole Mio and Nessun Dorma. A star soprano and expert violinist will join the group on the night to add to the electric atmosphere.
The show is coming to The Helix Theatre for one night only Saturday 16th February and it will start at 8pm; tickets are €32.50 with concessions at €30.
How to get to the venue…
The Helix is located on the northside of Dublin and is situated within the Dublin City University (DCU) campus in Glasnevin. Buses 4, 11, 11A, 11B, 13, 13A and 19A will get you there in no time.
If you are travelling by car from the city centre then you can take the N1 north towards Drumcondra. Continue on towards the M1 until you get to the junction at Whitehall. Take a left at this junction onto Collins Avenue and as you drive along this street you should see DCU on the left after the St. Aidans CBS.
If you’re coming from outside Dublin just get on the M50 ring-road and head north until you reach the Ballymun exit (Junction 4). Once you take this exit continue straight through Ballymun and turn left at the Collins Avenue/Ballymun Road crossroads (approx 500 meters). At the second set of traffic lights turn right in to the entrance for DCU.
