Following the over-indulgence of festive fare, what better way to re-invigorate the senses than by joining in the fun of the Temple Bar Trad Festival of Irish Music & Culture 2008. Running from Wednesday 23rd January to Sunday 27th January, the cultural quarter of Dublin will come alive to the sounds of traditional Irish music and dance. The Temple Bar Trad Festival of Irish Music & Culture 2008 will be held over a 5-day period at the end of January. There will be live concerts, pub sessions, a festival club, children’s events and plenty more. The festival is held in many of Temple Bar’s finest pubs, clubs and restaurants giving you plenty options, so why not wander from pub to club, club to restaurant and enjoy the huge variety of gigs. All the concerts are held in small intimate environments where you may be just metres from the performers.
The opening concert starts at 8:30pm on Wednesday 23rd, with Breda & Claire Keville performing ‘At First Light’. Then on Sunday 27th the final session will be the Gala Concert with Mozaik, Jackie Daly, Tommy & Siobhán Peoples and Roisín Elsafty. There’s plenty else to see and hear in the intervening time so be sure to get out and about to see it all.
