Drumshanbo
Nestling beneath the Slieve Anierin and Arigna Mountains this pleasant little town, situated at the southern end of Lough Allen, is an angling resort. An annual festival, An Tostal, with emphasis on Irish music, singing and dancing is held in Drumshanbo each year. A heritage centre in the market house reflects the area's special links with narrow-gauge steam trains, coal-mining, and also features local folklore.
