Take the Glenfarne road from Manorhamilton and turn right, signposted Caiseail. These caiseail are two Iron Age stone forts which date from about 500BC and they lie about 5km from the junction with the Glenfarne road. The road is narrow and crosses wild and beautiful scenery. Access to the forts is signposted and should be attempted by foot, leaving the car on the road. Boots are recommended as the ground underfoot is often soggy.
