US Gen Web Project The Gen Web project is an excellent resource which has been established for a number off years. My particular favourite is the map which allows you to pick out which state you would like to start your search from.
Rootsweb Probably the best known of all the sites for Genealogy for the professionalism involved in making this resource work. Its simply huge but it offers the genealogist, both amateur and pro, the opportunity of a great resource. Its definitely one for checking out.
