The two things we liked most was 1) the location & 2) the breakfast, it was gorgeous! However when you factor in the general scruffiness of the hotel & the fact we had to leave on our telly for half the night to block out the noise coming from the bar combined with having no elevator access to our room having to climb a couple of flights of stairs which was seventy long steps it was clear why a central city hotel was so cheap on a saturday night! Also we were not pleased with the night-time receptionist he handed out our room key to us without asking our names even though customers from the bar were wandering all over the hotel, he hadnt seen us before, we could have been anyone, he was too trusting makes me wonder if someone else had seeked our room key would they have gotten it too? But at the end of the day you get what you pay for so we didnt expect perfection but after working in the Hotel & catering sector for a number of years now a lick of paint wouldnt go astray along with some customer service skills!
