The hotel was basic, we booked as a last resort as we were going to a match in Dublin and could not find any accommodation. The room was tiny - could not swing a cat in it and the bathroom was iffy to say the least! The room was clean however i must say. I wouldnt advise staying here if your not completely hammered (which we were) as you will not sleep, the walls are like paper and there's a nite club next door. It was great however to walk off Temple Bar and get into your bed! The staff were lovely, polite and helpful however at 180 euro for one nite is was a rip off but it was the only room left in Dublin so we didnt mind!
The hotel is right in the centre of Temple Bar. Temple Bar is packed with bars and night-clubs. The place doesn't sleep. If you are going to Dublin for a boozy weekend and intend to have a place where you can just pass out this is the place for you. If you wish to have any sleep then don't stay here! The staff were lovely and the rooms were adequate for a budget hotel.
It was basic but for the centre of temple bar and at that price, it was well worth it. clean and tidy with friendly staff.
I had a good stay in hotel. Room should be a little better but anyway it wasn't so good. I liked the location (temple bar) but it was noisy in the night.
The Hotel was extremely easy to find when we got off the Luas stop at Jervis Street, straight across the Liffey and we were there! The Hotel itself is well located and we got the standard of room we expected for a budget hotel. Downside is the very noisy bar, we were not expecting loud live music on a Wednesday night which even caused the floorboards to vibrate in our room, and we didnt go to bed early either! I would advise ear plugs or a good sleeping tablet if you want to get to sleep.
The only bad thing I experienced was the noise from the bar. The brochure said that the rooms were soundproof, that's not true. It didn't bother me that much though....
If you expect to get some sleep - don't even stay there. As the location is very central and in Temple Bar - area is always full of happy noisy people and it is impossible to fall asleep before 4:30am. As a place for party - great choice! I stayed in sinlge room - very small but had everything I needed and very nice, clean bathroom. I would definately change cover on the bed, but overall I can't complain.
More like a B&B than a hotel. Good location very central. Clean but not the most comfortable beds.
An average hotel, with an excellent location, but this can be sometimes a disadvantage because of the noise people partying in nearby pubs and bars make at night.
Everything was as we expected. Great location right in centre of things, Temple Bar. All reviews are correct if you get a room overlooking front of hotel you will not get to sleep before 4am. Why can people not smoke quietly? Clean comfortable staff very knowledgable and friendly and breakfast lovely. Very good value for money.
I really enjoyed my stay, everyone was really nice and helpful. The food was lovely and the service was excellent.
Rooms were fairly basic but staff very helpful and friendly and the hotel was excellent value for money. I would definitely go back as the location was also excellent
Extremely friendly and in a fantastic location
good breakfast
OK
Ideally situated value for money. A place I would not hesitate to booked into should the occasion arise.
The RiverHouse Hotel is very central. There is often music in the bar so rooms can be full of music early but I find it fine for centre Dublin. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I don't frequent bars.
A nice place located perfectly.
