One of Dublin's longest established tourist hostels, in the heart of the city right beside Temple Bar - friendly, safe and clean! All guests have access to free internet and WiFi, a free light breakfast, and free international phonecalls. We have a selection of private rooms - some with ensuite bathroom as well as a selection of dorms. We are within easy walking distance of all of Dublin's top attractions such as the Guinness Storehouse, Temple Bar, Christchurch Cathedral and Grafton Street.
We're open all year, 24 hours a day. We welcome groups and individuals of all ages. We can cater for groups of up to 200 people and have a wide range of packages available.

Transport from the Airport: Aircoach: provides a 24-hour service between the airport and the city (alight at Trinity College) with departures every 15 minutes from 05:00 until midnight and hourly from midnight until 05:00. Tickets can be purchased online or from the driver when boarding. This cost is €7.00 one-way and €12.00 return. Journey time approx 30 minutes (see foot directions below) Airlink: operates to and from the airport approximately every 20 minutes and is €6.00 one way / €10.00 return. Jump on either bus number 747 (05.45am - 11.30pm) and alight at O'Connell Street or number 748 (06.50 - 9.30pm) and alight at Wood Quay - a five minute walk from Kinlay House. Journey time approx 30 minutes (see foot directions below) Dublin Bus: the most economical means of transport into the city. Take the 16A and alight at College Green. The cost is €2.20 each way. Note, correct change is required. Journey time approx. 1 hour (see foot directions below) Taxi: costs between €30 - €40 depending on traffic and will take between 30-40 minutes. Transport from Dun Laoghaire Ferryport: DART: Dublin's train service operates a service from Dun Laoghaire Dart Station to Tara Street Station in the city centre. From the station it is about a 15 minute walk to Kinlay House. Dublin Bus: Take the 46A bus into the City centre and alight at Suffolk Street. The cost is €2.20 each way. Note, correct change is required On Foot: From Trinity College: Walk along College Green onto Dame Street. Continue onto Lord Edward Street, Kinlay House is at the very top on the right hand side, just before Christchurch Cathedral. From O'Connell Street: Cross O'Connell bridge and continue along Westmoreland street. Turn right at College Green (Trinity College) and continue on Dame street to Lord Edward street, you will find us on the right just before Christchurch Cathedral From Wood Quay: Turn left before the Dublin City Council offices onto Fishamble Street, continue to the top of the hill (Christchurch Cathedral is on the right), turn left onto Lord Edward Street and you will find us on the left hand side. Dublin Bus Concession Tickets: Dublin Bus offers a variety of great transport deals for you to explore and see all that Dublin has to offer. Tickets can be obtained on your arrival at Dublin Airport from the CIE Information Desk in the arrivals hall and from the Dublin Tourism Offices or from many of the news agents in the city. Rambler Tickets: Unlimited travel for one, three, five or seven consecutive days on the Dublin Bus network including the Airlink service (excluding Nitelink, Ferry services & Tours). Prices per adult - one day €6.00, three day €11.00, five day €17.30, seven day €21.00. The 3 Day Freedom Ticket: Valid for three consecutive days on City Sightseeing Tour (hop on/hop off bus, all Dublin Bus commuter services, Airport Express Service and Nitelink - late night buses. Adult €25, child €16 (14 yrs and under)

Kinlay House had very friendly and helpful staff, a really nice common rooms and breakfast facilities, and great extras like luggage storage lockers. Overall, very nice compared to some other hostels we stayed in!
