The Braveheart Drive lies in the beautiful wilderness of the County Wicklow and because of its scenic beauty it has attracted many filmmakers over the years. It was here that Mel Gibson directed and starred in the movie Braveheart while some of The Devil's Own and Dancing at Lughnasa were also filmed here.

Description
The extensive grounds of Kippure Estate offer an idyllic retreat for nature lovers. It's full of tracks and trails, which beautifully meander through moorlands and woodlands offering some spectacular views. Since the owners bought the abandoned estate in 1978, buildings have been carefully restored and a state of the art outdoor activity centre, guesthouse and holiday homes have been established.
