Golf(Back to top)

Opened in May 1993, Faithlegg golf course set on the ground of the hotel, was designed by renowned Irish golf courses architect Paddy Merrigan. Boasting a superb setting on the banks of the River Suir, the course has been cleverly moulded into a wonderful landscape of mature trees, flowing parkland and some five lakes.

The superb parkland layout, with tricky doglegs, blind tee shots and strategically positioned sand traps, presents a stiff challenge for even the most accomplished golfers. At a championship yardage of 6,674 and a regular yardage from the white markers of 6,284, distance is rarely the main problem in negotiating a good score at Faithlegg.
Golfers have the choice of a gourmet dining experience at the magnificent 18th century Faithlegg House Hotel or partaking of the wholesome fare of the clubhouse.

Clubs, buggies and caddies are available for rental from the well stocked pro-shop located on the ground floor of the clubhouse

Hotel was lovely, and staff were all helpful and friendly. From such a lovely location we had high hopes for the restaurant and it really disappointed. The menu was very ordinary and two out of three mains were over cooked to the point of being inedible. And don't advertise Tiger Prawns and trot out Tescos frozen scampi. It really let the rest of the hotel down!

Absolutely breathtaking setting! Staff was outstanding. Bar great. Restaurant overpriced for what the food was - world class prices without the food to match. Only negative of entire stay. Would go back in a heartbeat!
