The Colligan Valley 5 km outside the town of Dungarvan, Co. Waterford lies between the Atlantic Ocean to the South and the Comeragh Mountains to the North. The scenery is idyllic with breathtaking views from the mountain slopes and the hilltops overlooking Dungarvan Bay. The peace and tranquillity of the countryside has to be experienced riding through the many forest and woodland paths that traverse this beautiful hinterland.
Open all year The centre will provide you with a hat. You will want to take maybe six to eight lessons. The lessons may be in an indoor or outdoor arena. You will be taught the basics of riding and some centres show how to "dress" the horse.
