Gort na Cloc is a delightful B&B; in a peaceful idyllic setting, 7km from the town of Cashel in County Tipperary. This comfortable family run country house, is the perfect base from which to discover the surrounding countryside.
It has five cosy guestrooms including a single room not en suite, a double ensuite, a triple ensuite, and an ensuite room with a double and single bed. Guestrooms are well equipped with a hair dryer, a TV and tea making facilities.

Directions

From Cashel town centre heading north towards dublin road take the Holycross road. Continue on this road for 300yards. Take a left at this junction. Sign for Ardmayle and Gort na Cloc B & B at this junction. Continue for 7 km.  Turn left and travel for another 200 yards.

Description

The B&B; also offers a garden for guest use, private car parking and a babysitting service on request. You can also avail of the taxi service which the B&B; provides, very convenient for getting to and from town at night.
Gort na Cloc is surrounded by lots to see and do. The Rock of Cashel, seat of Celtic Kings, dates back to the 4th century, so it is a must-see attraction. In Cahir town, you will see its Norman Castle, which dates from the 12th century. Holy Cross Abbey dates back to the 12th century and can be found at the banks of the River Suir. A drive through the beautiful Glen of Aherlow is a must. A good viewing point is called The Vee. It's located in the Knockmealdown Mountains, and from here you will enjoy breathtaking views of the beautiful Golden Vale of Tipperary.

Brilliant - B&B was warm & friendly - already missing the full Irish breakfast - Cashel was fantastic. Will book this B&B in the future

No wardrobe in bedroom,had to ask for hangers,then hung clothes on draw handles and tv bracket. Breakfast could have been better,dog in car park jumping all over me.Would not recomend this bb to anyone.

A very welcoming and peaceful B&B; Mary has a friendly yet non-intrusive approach. Tea and snack upon arrival (and basket of toys for our 4 year old!) after a long car journey most welcome!
