The Mountain Inn has a rural setting, nestled amongst the Ox Mountains. This is the perfect site to act as a hub for taking quiet walks along the scenic country roads. The locals are very friendly and they won’t be short of conversation for any tourists.The Mountain Inn is located in Coolaney Village which has won the “Tidiest Town” in Sligo for the last 10 years! In the village you will find 3 pubs, 2 shops, the village well and a delightful river walk. The B&B; itself includes a bar and restaurant as well, so you will be well entertained. If you prefer abit more independence, there are self-catering options available also.

The Mountain Inn is located in Coolaney Village which is only 12 miles from Sligo town itself. Other notable towns nearby include Collooney and Ballymote which are both 6 miles away. Tubbercurry is a little further at 8 miles. Knock airport is the nearest international airport.
The Mountain Inn has central heating and there are cots available. There are babysitting services, as are horse and pony trekking not far away. In Ballymote there is an eagles flying display park, which is a sight to see under the shadow of Ballymote Castle.
The Mountain Inn is well within reach of some varied and interesting activities. Enniscrone and Ballina aren’t far, Lough Gill and Parks Castle is worth a look. Strandhill has a scenic 18-hole links golf course. For the anglers, there are licences available for Salmon fishing in Ballisadare.

The Mountain Inn has its own pub, which will on occasion have energetic music sessions, has an ala Carte menu with great seafood and steak dishes will be sure to make your mouth water. The mountain Inn also has a grocery shop with an off licence, with a selection of gifts cards and stamps. Petrol and Diesel are also available.
