The 18th Century Fitzpatrick Castle in Killiney, Co. Dublin is a model of charm and sophistication. It is the only hotel on the South Dublin coast overlooking Dublin Bay. Located in the suburbs of Killiney and Dalkey, you are close to the city with easy access on the DART line, but far enough away to not get swamped with the hustle and bustle.

The Fitzpatrick Castle Dublin Hotel is located at the top of Killiney hill overlooking the bay opposite Howth Head. The hotel is a mere 14 kms from the city centre, and also easily accessible from both the airport and Dun Laoghaire ferry port by bus. The DART station is only a 10 minute walk away.

The National Maritime Museum, housing many of the artefacts of Irish maritime heritage, is situated in Mariner’s Corner. One of Ireland’s most famous writers, James Joyce, has a museum dedicated to him in the James Joyce Tower. For those of you who like a flutter, there is the Leopardstown Racecourse nearby, which features both flat racing and the national hunt.
Killiney Hill Park has a nature trail that offers some splendid views of the bay.
Marlay Craft Courtyard, a 17th century courtyard that has been renovated and houses a fine range of craft workers with their handcrafted baubles, is set in the scenic grounds of Marlay Park.
Not far away is the magnificent Sugarloaf Mountain. At the foot of this mountain is the aristocratic house and garden of Powerscourt. The awe inspiring beauty of these Italian and Japanese gardens with superb exterior art of statues and ironworks draw visitors every year.
