It was here in this peaceful hamlet 3 km south of Trim that his beloved Stella (Ester Johnson) lived in a cottage nearby during his soujourn at Laracor. His delightful letters were published after his death entitled Journal To Stella. Swift was appointed Dean of St. Patrick's Cathedral, Dublin in 1713.
