Bertra House is a beautiful farmhouse with a spectacular views of Clew Bay and Islands. Nestled at the foot of Croagh Patrick, a pilgrimage for Irelands Patron Saint. Bertra House is an ideal base for touring Achill Island and also Connemara. Or for the livelier you can take in the spectacular scenery by foot with miles of fantastic golden beaches are only 2 minutes from the house, a great place to unwind and watch the sun set. Throughout the years Margaret, the owner has won many awards for her cleanliness and generous hospitality.

The Bertra House is located west of Westport, just 10kms down the R335. Easily found at the foot of Croagh Patrick.
The Bertra House is only 5 minutes from Bertra beach. There are many beautiful walks and some spectacular scenery on display all around Mayo. Croagh Patrick is Irelands Holy mountain and located very near to Bertra house. A climb of the mountain offers spectacular views of Clew Bay and the Islands.
The Bertra House is perfect for hill walking, fishing and horse trekking. The Delphi and Atlantic Adventure Centre is close as is a Leisure Park in Westport. Golf enthusiasts will not be disappointed with an 18 hole golf course a short drive away in Westport.
The success of this house is mainly due to return guests coming back year after year or through their recommendations. You too will not be disappointed by the true Irish welcome. Throughout the years Margaret, the owner has won many awards for her cleanliness and generous hospitality. Children under the age of 6 not accepted.
The 5 rooms within the Bertra House are all equipped with TV, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. There are three double ensuite rooms,one double and single room en suite, and one Twin Room not En Suite but has access to its own private bathroom.

The weather was excellent, nice walk on strand nearby. Very convenient for climbing Croagh Patrick and visiting Clare Island. Farmhouse a bit far out of Murrisk to walk there.

Breakfast in served buffet style with a range of fresh fruit, yoghurts, array of cereals and homemade soda bread prior to a home cooked traditional Irish breakfast. This can all be enjoyed in the dining room offering panoramic views to the backdrop of traditional Irish music.
