Enjoy a leisurely walk along the River Shannon or head off on one of our side roads and enjoy the Scenic Views of the Shannon Estuary or the local country side. There are a number of Nature Walks in the area - Tarbert, Glin Loughill & Foynes to name a few. Between Foynes & Askeaton you will find the Aughinish Nature Reserve.
Between the village of Loughill & Foynes you will find the Award Winning Boyce Gardens. These wonderful Gardens are open to the public during the summer months. Here you will find a selection of plants most suited to Irish Conditions.
Our B&B is an ideal touring base for the Mid-West & South-West of Ireland. The Cliffs of Moher, Ailwee Caves, The Burren, Bunratty Castle & Folk Park, Loophead Peninsula as well as the Dingle Peninsula, Killarney, Killarney National Park and the Ring of Kerry are all within reach for a Day Trip.
We have a resident Pod of Dolphins at the Mouth of the River Shannon. Boat Trips depart every day from Kilrush & Carrigaholt, Co. Clare.
Take a 30 min drive west to the Seaside town of Ballybunion where you will find a Beautiful beach & the Famous Ballybunion Golf Links which was designed by Tom Watson.
Glin was once famous as a Salmon Fishery. Glin Castle is the Seat of the 29th Knight of Glin whose Family have had land here for 750 years. Glin Castle is now a luxury hotel.
Foynes Flying Boat Museum - 10 min drive.
The Tarbert / Killimer Shannon Car Ferry is a 10 min drive.
Ballybunion Golf Course is a short 30 min drive.
Shannon Airport - 60 min drive.
