We are located in the picturesque village of Glin, Co. Limerick on the South Shore of the River Shannon on the N69. En route from Shannon Airport & Limerick City to Tralee/Killarney & The Ring of Kerry. We are centrally located on the Main Street of Glin, next to Conways Bar. (We are a 10 min drive to the Tarbert / Killimer SHANNON CAR FERRY).
We are approved by the Irish Tourist Board and offer 4 Star Quality B&B.; Accommodation - ALL Ensuite Bedrooms with Power Shower, Hairdryer, TV & Tea/Coffee making facilities - Twin, Double Triple & Family Rooms Available. WIRELESS BROADBAND ACCESS. (ELECTRIC (HOT) BLANKET - Winter Months).

Description

Enjoy a leisurely walk along the River Shannon or head off on one of our side roads and enjoy the Scenic Views of the Shannon Estuary or the local country side. There are a number of Nature Walks in the area  - Tarbert, Glin Loughill & Foynes to name a few. Between Foynes & Askeaton you will find the Aughinish Nature Reserve.

Between the village of Loughill & Foynes you will find the Award Winning Boyce Gardens. These wonderful Gardens are open to the public during the summer months. Here you will find a selection of plants most suited to Irish Conditions.

Our B&B is an ideal touring base for the Mid-West & South-West of Ireland. The Cliffs of Moher, Ailwee Caves,  The Burren, Bunratty Castle & Folk Park, Loophead Peninsula as well as the Dingle Peninsula, Killarney, Killarney National Park and the Ring of Kerry are all within reach for a Day Trip.

We have a resident Pod of Dolphins at the Mouth of the River Shannon. Boat Trips depart every day from Kilrush & Carrigaholt, Co. Clare.

Take a 30 min drive west to the Seaside town of Ballybunion where you will find a Beautiful beach & the Famous Ballybunion Golf Links which was designed by Tom Watson.

Glin was once famous as a Salmon Fishery. Glin Castle is the Seat of the 29th Knight of Glin whose Family have had land here for 750 years. Glin Castle is now a luxury hotel.

Foynes Flying Boat Museum - 10 min drive.

The Tarbert / Killimer Shannon Car Ferry is a 10 min drive.
Ballybunion Golf Course is a short 30 min drive.

The breakfast was fantastic and offered a large choice (full irish or pancakes or...) the hostess was really nice and offered us to eat in the garden with our take away dinner.

Everything was perfect, with Estelle, you are pampered, the welcome is warm and friendly, the house beautifull and well situated for visiting, the bedroom are very good furnished (with even a heating matress !), the breakfast is delicious with a hudge choice, very well presented... in one word, it was like heaven !

We loved the very friendly welcome and the homemade apple pie at our arrival. The family room( for 5 people : exceptional) was lovely and very clean. For breakfast we could choose between 3 different ones. Our children appreciated above all the pancakes with mapple syrup. A real B and B and a nice address for our friends and family!
