From Limerick
Take the N24, heading for Tipperary, Continue along this road through the villages of Boher, Dromkeen and Pallasgreeen. After Pallasgreen, keep an eye out for a Left turn towards Doon. Coming from Tipperary take a right for Doon, on the R507. Proceed on that road for 5km until you come to your 4th Right after the Main Road, Then take a sharp Right. Follow that road for 2.2km to the next Right. Take this sharp Right and follow the laneway past a farm building on the left. Directly after the farm building take a left turn, and follow the Avenue to the end, which will bring you into the courtyard for Carrigmore farm.

Carrigmore Farm is situated in the heart of the countryside, close to Cappawhite on the Tipperary border. Set in peaceful pastoral farmland, the house offers you an opportunity to see an authentic farm, visit and admire many beautiful churches, in particular Solohead Church - which is located 5km away and has magnificent stained glass windows, which were painted by Harry Clarke Studios in Dublin many years ago.
The village of Doon is only 5km away. The village is also known by its Irish Name - Dún Bleisce - which is the Irish version of its name. This means Fort of Bleisce, who lived in this area many years ago.
Doon is a small country village, located in East Limerick, close to the border of West Tipperary. It is 53km from Shannon Airport, 217km from Dublin Airort, 25km to Limerick City and only 16km to Tipperary Town, which offers supermarkets, clothes shops, bars and restaurants. The village has all the local amenities you could need and also an excellent playground for children.

You can spend your days visiting historic castles and Abbeys in Co. Tipperary - such as the Rock of Cashel, Athassel Abbey, Cahir Castle and the Swiss Cottage. If you're after some amazing views and wonderful photographic opportunities, roam around the Glen of Aherlow, either on foot or by horseback. Tipperary also provides us with Ballykisteen Golf Course and Tipperary Racecourse - only 10km away.
By night enjoy a traditional Irish music evening in Bru Boru Centre in Cashel Co. Tipperary. Each Tuesday night you will find a trad music session in the Kickham Lounge in Tipperary Town.
Co. Limerick
In the Limerick region, enjoy a full day at Bunratty Folk Park - either with the kids or by yourself. Here you can visit the famous Bunratty Castle, see many old Irish Cottages and learn about the history of Ireland. You can also attend one of their medieval banquets, which are an experience in themselves!
In Limerick city, you can visit the Hunt Museum - which has a wonderful permanent collection and always has something extra on display. You also have King Johns Castle and St. Johns Cathedral. In the surrounding areas of Limerick, you will find Adare Manor, Lough Gur and The Benedictine Monastery of Glenstal Abbey, which is in nearby Murroe. Visit the wonderful towns of Ballina and Killaloe on the river Shannon, not far from the beautiful Lough Derg.
If you're feeling adventurous, why not take a day trip to the Cliffs of Moher or the Ring of Kerry, both well worth a visit
