There's a 9-hole golf course located about 2 km away and similarly there are many angling spots along the river within walking distance. Even if you aren’t interested in fishing the River Shannon is well worth exploring, especially by boat. You could visit the Dock Arts Centre, a 19th Century former courthouse that now has a 100+ seat theatre area, as well as three art galleries, art studios, and it's also home to the Leitrim Design House. Other attractions in Leitrim include Glencar Waterfall and Corracloona Megalithic Tomb.
