Kilkenny Castle
Kilkenny Castle is a beautiful 12th century castle which was remodeled in Victorian times and is located in lush green parklands overlooking the Nore River. The castle was the principal seat of the Butler family, Marquesses and Dukes of Ormonde.

Dunmore Cave
Dunmore Cave is located in Ballyfoyle in County Kilkenny. According the Irish literature, this cave is known as one of the darkest places in Ireland and it is said to be the cave where monster Luchtigern 'The Lord of the Mice' was slain. Spooky!
The history of the cave is explained in an interpretive centre and site museum just at the entrance to the Dunmore Cave.
