The room we had was very comfortable with an amazing view. The staff on reception were very friendly. The breakfast in the morning was very good. However we were disappointed with the bar closing earlier then we had expected and we were not aware about this before we booked. The hotel was very warm.

Stayed in kilkenny for two nights. River court is a lovely hotel great views but put us in one of the rooms above genarator very loud humm. Moved us without too much fuss said we were the first to complain of such noise.Over charged us on leaving for tray to room but bye and large would recommend.

The staff were so helpful, especially Annette at reception. On the website, it says rooms have duck down duvets but that isnt true. We only got a couple of hours sleep both nights due to neighbours so we have sent off a letter of complaint. The hotel is so central which was great,we could walk everywhere. The views of the castle from the hotel were lovely. Breakfast was delicious! Pity about such a late check in time.

We loved the hotel it was fantastic, great location and service, lovely views of the castle.

The kids loved the swimming pool. The adults loved the view of the castle. It was so nice and central that we could leave our car and walk to dinner and the castle and through the town. It is a beautiful hotel and beautiful rooms.

The hotel is ideally situated in Kilkenny, with beautiful views of the Kilkenny castle. The staff were very friendly, the room was clean, and the on-site amenities are very well taken care of.

Stayed here during Cat Laughs FestIval.Very big crowds around bar at night. Bar staff unable to cope with crowds and ladies toilets were very untidy also served drinks in plastic tumblers.The bedroom was clean and tidy.

Everything about the hotel was perfect. It was tremendously comfortable, with just the right touch of understated elegance. And our breakfast the next morning was superb in itself; it was made even more enjoyable by the view of the Kilkenny Castle across the river. Full marks for everything.

I loved it and my only regret is that I was not able to enjoy my breakfast outside and enjoy the view. I must visit during warm weather.

Very nice staff, very clean rooms, excellent service. A very nice hotel with a lovely friendly atmosphere. I'm in the hotel business and am always observing what goes on elsewhere so please take following comments as construcitve criticism. I thought is was over-priced (€130.00 pps pn) but the hotel must make hay too!. The food menus were grubby in the hotel bar and the restaurant appeard to be serving a Table d'hote menu only. I'm not sure if the bar at the front was part of the hotel (flannerys I think) but the service was appalling. I noticed 2 parties leaving due to confusion with their food orders. All in all I found this hotel experience to be one of the best in recent times.

It was very nice and the only complaint was that there could have been some hair conditioner and maybe some face-cloths. The bath towels were also a bit on the small side and could be as big as the towels at the swimming pool.
