the show jumping association of ireland

The ShowJumping Association of Ireland is the controlling body for ShowJumping on a 32 county basis in Ireland. It authorises some 500 shows and gymkhanas throughout the country each year, has 5000 active members and registers for competition some 4000 horses and 3000 ponies. The Association selects teams to represent Ireland at major International ShowJumping events, European championships, World equestrian games and Olympic games level. Competition during the period October to March each year takes place at several indoor ShowJumping venues around the country, particularly Millstreet in County Cork and the Cavan Equestrian Centre.

The highlights of the ShowJumping year are the Heineken Grand Prix Circuit which takes place each weekend from late April right through to the end of the season at the Millstreet International Show in November
