Nestled inside the Ring of Kerry, at the foot of Irelands highest mountains and overlooking some of the nicest countryside you can be sure there is no better accommodation that the Purple Heather.

The Purple Heather is in the Killarney area and a short distance from the Gap of Dunloe. Easily located the map provided shows where the houses is but you can’t go far wrong by following signs for the Gap of Dunloe in town until you get close to the house.
The Purple Heather is just a short distance from Killarney where there is much to do with activities such as pubs, restaurants, discos, cinema, shopping and plenty more. The night life is also very lively.
The Purple Heather is a good base for such activities like cycling, golf, fishing, swimming and hill walking. Some great choices for tours include Muckross House and Gardens, Ross Castle, Torc Waterfall, Crag Cave and Rossbeigh Beach.
The ideal location is perfect for exploring the south west. The Ring of Kerry, the Gap of Dunloe, the Dingle and Beara Peninsulas are all worth seeing.

The Purple Heather rests in a dream location with beautiful views of the National Park. We have especially enjoyed the warmth and the Family and the breakfast conservatory.
The Purple Heather is a bright and cheery home and this is apparent in all the guest rooms including the sitting room, the breakfast room and the other relaxation areas. You can also feel free to avail of the delightful gardens and enjoy the spectacular views.
