O Donnabhains opened for Accommodation in 2001, and is register as a Three Star Guesthouse with a 62% rating from the Irish Tourist Board, (considering a 5 Star Hotel with Leisure & Conference facilities has only the possibility to achieve 100%, we feel we are offering you what you need, in a nice friendly environment). In 2009 all the rooms have been remodeled with you the guest in mind.

Directions 
Nearest:  Bus Station is located approx. 100m from O’Donnabhain’s with services running daily at 8.40am & 3pm in and out of Kenmare on route number 270. Train Station is located 40 minutes from Kenmare in Killarney providing services to Cork, Tralee, Dublin etc. Kerry Airport is approximately 1 hour from Kenmare. Kerry Airport has car hiring facilities and public transport. Cork Airport is approximately 1 ½ hours from Kenmare.
     
Driving directions
Directions From Dublin
Travel on the N7 from Dublin onto Portlaoise. Then take the N8 to Mitchelstown and then follow the N73 towards Mallow. From Mallow, continue on the N72 to Killarney and then travel on the N71 until you reach Kenmare.

From Cork
Travel on the N22 out of Cork. Approximately 15km after Ballyvourney take the turn off onto the R569 towards Kenmare. On arriving in Kenmare via the R569, go straight through the town. When you reach the top of Henry Street take a left and continue to follow the road out of the square. The Kenmare Bay Hotel is located opposite the Esso Station on the left hand side of the road.

From Limerick & Shannon
Travel on the N21 towards Killarney and then take the N71 towards Kenmare.

Kenmare is a colourful and charming town, which is located at the head of Kenmare Bay. Kenmare is an excellent base for exploring the Peninsulas and is rich in Irish history dating back to 500BC.
Local amenities include the Stone Circle ( Druid's Circle ), the Pier or Reenagross, and kenmare is also on the Kerry and Bear way, which is ideal set off point for a quite country strole.

Killarney National Park & Muckross Estate Killarney, Co. Kerry

Dingle Peninsula, Co. Kerry

Bonane Heritage Park
The Park is unique in that it has an abundance of well preserved multi-period archeological sites from the Stone, Bronze, and Iron age right up to pre famine times. The Bonane Heritage Park provides visitors with an 1600 meter walk though 5000 years of history while enjoying some of the breath taking scenery. The Park is located 6 miles from Kenmare and is open all year around.

Great place to stay. The pub downstairs is great and it is in an excellent location to drive the Ring of Beara, Ring of Kerry, see Kerry National Park, and the Dingle Peninsula.
