Killarney Golf and Fishing Club
Mahoney's Point
Killarney
Kerry
Phone: 64 31034
Fax: 64 33065
Established 1893.
The courses lie in an incomparable setting, winding around the shores of Lough Leane, and with the purple bulk of the Kerry mountains reflected in the clear water it is difficult to imagine a more perfect place to play golf.
In 1949 the Irish Amateur Open Championship was played at Killarney for the first time and there have been many major tournaments played here since. Gary Player rated the 13th at Killeen as "potentially one of the world's greatest inland golf holes". Another regular visitor to Killarney, Jimmy Bruen, is commemorated on the 2nd hole on Mahony.
