Directions
From Killarney - 45 min approx.
Take the N22 from Killarney & go 7 miles out the Cork Road. Turn right, onto the R569,where sign-posted for Kenmare. Go through the village of Kilgarvan. On arrival to Kenmare town take the N70 towards Sneem . After 3.5 miles you will pass a sign "Welcome to Templenoe". Take the first left after the ( Welcome to Templenoe ) sign The house is the last at the very end of this road.
From Cork - 1 hour
Take the N22 through Macroom & Ballyvourney. Turn left onto the R569, for Kenmare about 20 minutes after Ballyvourney. From Kenmare follow directions as above.
From Dublin - 5 hours
From Dublin take the N7 to Portlaoise. Then take the N8 through Cashel to Mitchelstown. From there take the N73 to Mallow. At Mallow take the N72 towards Killarney to the N22. Follow the directions as above from the N22.
Local Area
This is an ideal location for touring the Ring of Kerry and the lesser known beautiful Ring of Beara. The house is ideal for those who have a love of the Great Outdoors and quiet country living.
The Kenmare Way is only a 5 minute walk from the house. With the McGillcuddy Reeks to its back and the Caha range facing the house from across the bay, this is also the perfect location for hill walkers.
Killarney is a 30 min. by car, here you can the stunning Killarney National Park, see the magnificent Torc Waterfall and walk around Ross Castle, which is steeped in history.
Visit Blackwater river and numerous other good fishing rivers and lakes are all within a half hour by car. The Ring Of Kerry Golf course is 5 min by car. Kenmare with its range of top class restaurants and bars are just 5 min away and has good taxi service available.
Dingle and Sleah Head are 1.5 hours away, Glengariffe with Garnish Island 30 min and Bantry with Bantry house one hours drive.
