Set in mature gardens Kathleens Country House is a charming 4 star residence with just 17 rooms. Located on the edge of Killarney town close to the National Park, it is 2 minutes drive to town and a perfect base for golfing or touring the Ring of Kerry and Dingle.

Attentiveness, friendliness and traditional Irish hospitality are Kathleen's hallmark. Wake up to the sound of birds singing and enjoy a sumptuous breakfast. At the end of the day, dine in one of the many wonderful restaurants Killarney has to offer and drop into a pub to catch some traditional music.

Kathleen's is easy to get to and hard to leave!

From Shannon Airport, Kerry Airport or Galway:
Kathleens is situated on a very elevated site 1 mile prior to Killarney Town Centre on the right hand side, very visible and accessed through the slip road off N22.
From the Cork side:
When approaching the 1st roundabout on the outskirts of Killarney, bypass Killarney Town Centre and stay on N22, direction north towards Airport or Tralee, for 1 mile until Cleeny roundabout. At Cleeny stay on N22 taking 3rd exit. We are exactly 1 mile from this roundabout around a bend on left hand side, direction north towards Tralee or Airport.

Why not enjoy a full day's sightseeing in Dublin and be back at Kathleen's the same day? From Killarney Railway Station, you can travel to Dublin by rail. The journey take aprox. 4 hours and 30 minutes.  Kerry Airport is a 15 minute drive from Kathleen's and flying time to Dublin is about 45 minutes.

The 17 charming and spacious bedrooms are elegantly furnished in antique pine. Each guestroom has a big, bright bathroom, large bath tubs, high pressure showers and captivating natural light. The orthopaedic beds ensure a restful sleep and facilities include a television, hairdryer, telephone and tea/coffee making facilities.
Guests can enjoy garden views from all our bedrooms.

Killarney Lake & Mountain District
Take a jaunting car, drive, walk or cycle through the Gap of Dunloe. Take a boat trip through the lakes or walk along the many nature trails in the Killarney National Park. Muckross House and Muckross Traditional Farms are fun for all the family.

Ring of Kerry - Always drive anti clockwise from Killarney. Drive facing panoramic views.

Dingle Peninsula - Visit the famous town of Dingle and the stunning Slea Head scenic drive.

Beara Peninsula - Magnificent mountains, lakes, ocean views in one of Ireland's least populated peninsulas.

Set in peaceful scenic surroundings on own spacious grounds with award winning gardens and adjoining dairy farm yet only one mile from the Killarney Town Centre.  Kathleen's is located on the N22 route with Kerry County Airport 9km away, Cork Airport 90km and Shannon Airport 100km.

This is the ideal base for touring Killarney Lake and Mountain District, Ring of Kerry, Blarney, Dingle Peninsula and the entire Cork / Kerry Region - known as the 'Jewel of Ireland'.

Bus Tours can be arranged on request to the Ring of Kerry, Dingle and Blarney with the provision of a complimentary "Pick-up" and "Drop Back" service from Kathleen's.

This B & B is absolutely beautiful, spotlessly clean, and incredibly welcoming. Kathleen herself was beyond helpful and made our stay quite memorable. Her assistance with our sightseeing adventure was invaluable and made it one of the best stops in our trip. I HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone who is looking to exprience true Irish hospitality!

Breakfast, ranging from full Irish to vegetarian options, is cooked to order from our award-winning menu. It is served to resident guests in the elegant dining room overlooking the gardens. We also have our own well which supplies fresh, clear spring water.

There are more nooks and surprising little crannies than you'd get in a huge hotel. With five sitting rooms - each with a different view and mood - you can sit in privacy and watch the trees rustle or make some new friends while enjoying the library.
