Dingle Peninsula(Back to top)

The Dingle peninsula affords some of the most breathtaking scenery in Ireland. Majestic cliffs, pounded by Atlantic breakers, high narrow passes and beautiful sandy beaches. The area is steeped in history; Ironage forts, beehive huts, early Christian oratories and standing stones. Part of the Dingle Peninsula is designated a Gaeltacht, an area where Gaelic is still spoken.

Golf, fishing, cycling, sailing, water sports, horse riding, hill walking, rock climbing & abseiling and sea kayaking are just some of the leisure options open to you in the area.

John and Mary are happy to arrange or advise guests on local trips, walking routes and activities.

Dingle Town

Dingle town bustles with brightly coloured houses, shops, restaurants and pubs set around the picturesque natural harbour. Many of it’s renowned restaurants serve locally caught seafood and the lively pubs resound with traditional music sessions.

An indoor swimming pool, gym, aquarium, bowling alley and boat trips from the harbour are within walking distance of Greenmount House.

Great place to stay John and Mary really make you feel welcome and cook a fantasic breakfast. Also not a bit like a normal B&B stay more like a small hotel. It doesnt feel like your staying in a house.
