A superb refurbished well-equipped cottage in a splendid location overlooking the valley toward the Cahir Mountains.
Set in its own large secluded landscaped Westerly gardens in a slightly elevated position it is tranquil and rural though not isolated.
There is easy access to numerous activities and is ideal for touring the Kerry Peninsula.
The Heritage Town of Kenmare is 8 miles, the majestic Molls Gap 4km, and the mystical Barfinnihy Lake 2km with the entrance to the Killarney National Park a 20 minute drive.
Located on the Sneem Road adjacent to the Kerry Ring the surrounding contrasting scenery is magnificent.

The home is furnished and maintained to a high standard throughout, the lounge and dinning area are served by 40” Flat screen HD TV.  The satellite channels received include Irish BBC, ITV and British Euro Sport.  
Serving the L shaped spacious lounge/diner, a medium oak fully fitted kitchen, study and comfortable bedrooms. The drive leads to an ample parking and turning area adjacent to the home, which is illuminated on all sides. There is easy access to numerous activities, superb golf course, stables and the local tavern with traditional music/dance. Molls Gap is 4km, the Barfinnihy Lake (overlooked by the majestic Macgillycuddy Reeks 2km and the Killarney National Park an approx 20-minute drive. The town of Kenmare 8 miles is a stunning drive on superb roads as are Killarney and Sneem. All three towns are on the awe-inspiring landscape of the Ring of Kerry. Direen does not cater for pets and here is no smoking in the holiday rental. Bed linen and towels are provided free as are gas and electricity. A warm Irish welcome, from the helpful key holder, awaits all guests.

Follow the N71 via Kenmare or Killarney to Molls Gap. Take the R568 (Sneem Road). Proceed for approximately 4km and "Direen" is on right hand side next to the Pancake Cottage Tea Room.
The large double glazed picture windows compliment the splendid view over The Valley.  The light and airy property comprises of two bedrooms.  One room has king-size bed room has fitted Sapele fitted robs, dresser, chest and TV.  Second room has two single bed, with pine robes, dresser and chest of drawers.  Bathroom has bath with shower and separate electric thermostatic shower.
Direen is ideally situated for touring the Kerry Peninsula,  being on R568, a road to the Kerry Ring and just 4kms from Molls Gap.  Killarney National Park is and approx 20 minute drive via the spectacular Ladies Views.  Traditional music and dance in local tavern is a 6 minute drive as is Church, shop, garage. The Charming Pancake cottage and gardens a home baking tearoom within 300 feet.  A Avoca shop and Cafe at Molls Gap.

Direen’s position affords easy access to numerous activities.  There is swimming at Templenoe and Kenmare piers.  Sandy beaches are a 30 minute drive.  Kenmare golf course offers 18 holes as well as pitch and putt.  The championship course country club at templenone (10km) is also 18 holes.  Both overlooking Kenmare bay.  The Water sport and sailing centre offer wind surfing, scuba diving, kayaking.  As well as Safari, cruises.  Stables for horse riding and pony trekking are nearby catering for beach, woodland and mountain treks.  Bike hire is also available.  Fishing sea/rivers, the closest being the Barfinnihy Lake, 2km, which is overlooked by the majestic Macgillycuddy Reeks.
