Ballintaggart Holiday Village

Four Star

Ballintaggart, Dingle, Kerry Show on a map

Ballintaggart Holiday Homes are spectacularly located just outside the town of Dingle in Co. Kerry. These 4-star holiday homes are part of a recent development of quality accommodation on the grounds of Ballintaggart House, a 1703 hunting lodge and former home of the Earl of Cork.

The design is traditional, but the modern, spacious and luxurious interiors ensure a comfortable stay for all.

Within Walking Distance

We are within a short walking distance of 3 beaches, one of which, Doonsheane, provides some of the finest rock climbing in Ireland. There is great rock fishing available within 15 minutes of the house, including Carraig Ballach (Wrasse Rock), which has proven to be aptly named.

We also provide a great location for exploring the Dingle Peninsula, visiting the Blasket Islands, climbing Mount Brandon (Ireland's 2nd highest mountain), and of course observing (or swimming with) Dingle's most famous resident, Fungi the bottle-nosed Dolphin.

There are numerous activities and visitor attractions available on the Dingle Peninsula.

Some of our major attractions are:
Slea Head drive or cycle -This trip of 45km/28 miles includes some of the most impressive scenery you will ever experience.  It is rich in archaeological sights such as the Beehive Huts and Gallarus Oratory.

Blasket Islands - This archipelago of islands located off the western tip of the peninsula was finally evacuated in 1953, due to an aging population and limited facilities. It has inspired numerous native and non-native writers and is a definite must-see. Ferries from Dunquin and Dingle operate from May to October.

Dingle Ocean World - This is a great place to spend a wet (or dry!) day.

Fungi the Dolphin - Walk down to the shore, admire the scenery and watch Fungi put on a display of acrobatics, or take a trip from Dingle Pier.

Horse Riding - Hourly, half day and full day treks are available in both Dingle and Ventry.

The peninsula offers wonderful hill walking, sailing, golf and watersports for the outdoor enthusiast, and there are many child-friendly beaches nearby.
