Within Walking Distance

Built in the 17th century, Kenmare was Ireland's first planned town. That is not to say there were no earlier denizens - the pre-historic stone circle proves the place is ancient. Old Kenmare has evolved organically into the present.
Old pubs, fine craft shops, restaurants, touring, fishing & golf: all these things make Neidin (The little nest) delightful to visit.
Situated at the crossroads of the Ring of Kerry and the Beara Way, Kenmare is the ideal basis for your touring expeditions.

Within 10kms

The Kenmare area is ideal for an active holiday. Within walking distance from Abbey Court you can enjoy a round of golf, hire a boat to go out on a fishing trip on sweet water or on the ocean, go horse-back riding or walk down one of the nearby hiking trails.
We are most happy to share our experience of the activities in the Kenmare area and help you with your bookings. Most local activity centers have special prices or other incentives for guests of Abbey Court.

Abbey Court was perfect, a beautiful location looking on the sea from the sitting room, dining room and garden. The owners were warm and welcoming and knowledgeable about the locality and trips. Nothing was too much trouble - they even offered to drive me in to Kenmare one day that was raining. Everywhere is spotless and of high standard. The breakfast offers everything you would expect from Irish hospitality and more, like fresh strawberries, fresh peaches and buttermilk pancakes. All in all, it was a perfect choice! Thank you.
