Description
The minute you step inside the door of The Brasserie, you realise that you're in for something special. Something quite different in fact...there's no loud music or overpowering décor. Just a welcoming atmosphere and a relaxed elegance, the perfect blending of the modern and the traditional, that will apeal to diners of every age and taste.
The wooden flooring, cream walls and attractive furnishings in dark apple green and warm red create a cheerful environment. The fireplace is a focal point that comes alive with a well stoked coal fire in winter. A particular impessive feature of the Brasserie is its thorough attention to detail. From the attractive hanging plants to the most incidental cooking ingredient, everything is authentic.
Another talking point of the Brasserie is its friendly service. This is less a reflection of 'company policy' than it is the expression of the staff's own pride in making the customer feel at home. The Brasserie is world famous for it's pizzas, Mexican Tacos and Bar-B-Que Ribs. The Brasserie menu is varied and distinctive, and caters to popular and discerning tastes. The house wine is a popular vintage, carefully selected to highlight the PIZZAS and the other main courses.
The Brasserie PIZZA is light and crispy. The dough is made according to a combination of French and Sicillian methods. This, along with a wide variety of toppings, and a rich tomato sauce, is what creates the unique Brasserie PIZZA.
The Brasserie Menu
Brasserie Ribs - Our Bar-B-Que Ribs are world famous. Winners of the World Bar-B-Que Championships in Memphis, U.S.A. '87. The unusual flavour of the ribs results from steeping them in a specially prepared marinade. Served with Rice or Baked Potato and Bar-B-Que sauce. Mexican Tacos - The Brasserie Mexican Tacos are crisp, fried corn shells, filled with specially seasoned lean ground beef, liberally sprinkled with cheese and accompanied by a festive Salad assortment. Salad - Crisp fresh greens, topped with Cottage Cheese, surrounded by seasonal Fruits and Vegetables, served in a bowl with a choice of dressings. On the Side - Why not try the Baked Potato with a knob of butter or Soured cream, Oven fresh Garlic Bread, or freshly tossed Side Salad with a choice of dressings. Be sure to try the Waffles, served straight from the griddle and topped with cream, ice cream or a choice of syrups. Desserts - The Brasserie Dessert Menu has been designed to compliment the end of a fine meal…from The Brasserie Bombe, a selection of homemade ice creams prepared from traditonal French recipes, and the light and refreshing Lemon Mousse, to the distinctive Cheesecake and a rather special Apple Tart. Afterwards why not sit back and relax over a cup of espresso or cappuccino coffee or sample the excellent range of teas.
