Located close to Tullycross, is the Kylemore Abbey which is the monastic home of the Irish Benedictine Nuns. Further inland you can explore the Connemara National Park.

Situated about a 15 minute drive from the hotel is the Killary Fjord where you can go scuba diving and if you're a keen golfer you can head over to either the Westport 18-hole Championship Course or the Connemara Championship Link. In this superb location you have the option of going either fresh water fishing on Lough Fee and Lough Muck or alternatively, doing some saltwater angling by heading to Ballinakill Harbour, where you can charter a boat or simply go fishing from the coastline.
