Fairhill House Hotel is located in in the centre of the quaint village of Clonbur (An Fhairce in Irish), just 4kms due west from Cong and 45kms due north-west from Galway city. Clonbur is located on the peninsula that separates Lough Corrib and Lough Mask, at the foot of Connemara's Maamturk mountains, some 8kms west of Balinrobe, and 30kms south east of Castlebar and 35kms west of Claremorris.  Knock (Ireland West Airport) and Galway Airports are only 45 minutes away by car. Shannon airport is a 2 hour drive. Clonbur can be reached by a daily bus service from Galway city, to nearby Cong.

Description

The Lynch family have been welcoming visitors to Connemara for over half a century and understand the true meaning of old time hospitality. Fairhill House Hotel can also arrange a spot of fly-fishing with or without a ghillie on one of the lakes nearby or a morning's horse-riding in nearby Cong. Excellent fly-fishing opportunities continue right through to the end of September on all the nearby lakes. The much-prized Atlantic salmon can be caught on the fly on Lough Corrib - licence required.

Tasty packed lunches will be ready and waiting as you leave the hotel in the morning for a pleasant day's outing and don’t worry, if the weather is wet there is a large drying room where your gear will be will looked after. The caring staff ensure that your stay is enjoyable, hassle-free and above all, affordable.
