Galway
Galway city is known as the City of the Tribes this is due to the cities medieval heritage dating back to the 5th century.  Due to the cities thriving and vibarant artisitic community there is a great selection of Art galleries, old book shops, theatres, traditional Irish pub and a great social scene.

One can enjoy some of the best shopping in Ireland in Galway with a vast array of shops catering for all tastes.  The Canal walkways, the salmon fishing at the salmon weir bridge and the meeting of the sea and river bed between long walk and the old fishing village of the Claddagh create a peaceful escape from all the bustle.
Things to See & Do Around Galway

Make your friends envious when they see your holiday snaps of your visit to the Aran Islands. The best way to really appreciate the islands is by bike, stopping along the way to admire its tranquil beauty.  Experience one of the last areas of Ireland that still speak Irish as their main language and indulge yourself in real Irish culture.

The Connemara area is another scenic delight, perhaps it would be a nice idea to pack a picnic for this visit. O treat the family to a fun day out at Leisureland, which is located nearby, afterward enjoy an appetising family meal in one of many fine restaurants in Galway City.
